Q: I have written my own children’s book/collection of poems; I would love you to illustrate it for me, is this possible?

Whilst I’m really grateful for anyone expressing this interest in my work, I am currently only accepting children’s book illustration jobs directly from art directors and publishers. Unless you are setting out with the sole intention of wanting to self-publish, it is best to submit your manuscript to a literary agent or a publisher first, which they prefer to not be illustrated at this stage. If you get offered a book deal from your manuscript, then the publisher will often times find the illustrator they feel suits your work best, but if at this point you want to put my name forward for consideration, I’d love to hear from you or the publisher!
